Meat Alert is a subscription SMS service that texts curated meat and seafood grocery deals for metro markets. Subscribers pay through Stripe. SMS marketing and informational consents are optional, separate, and unchecked by default on our website — neither is required to purchase. Subscribers can stop texts anytime by replying STOP. Information we collect

• Mobile phone number and ZIP code you submit at signup
• Separate SMS consent records for marketing (deal alerts) and informational (account) messages when you opt in
• Billing and subscription status from Stripe (we do not store full card numbers)
• SMS delivery and opt-out events from our messaging provider (Twilio)
• Basic technical logs needed to operate and secure the service

How we use information

• To send marketing meat-deal SMS and/or informational account SMS only for the channels you separately opted into
• To process payment, manage your subscription, and provide support
• To route you to an active market or waitlist based on ZIP
• To comply with messaging laws and carrier requirements

Text messaging

SMS consent is optional and separate from purchase. On our signup form you may choose either or both of: (1) recurring automated marketing texts about local grocery meat deals, and/or (2) informational texts about your subscription (welcome confirmation, billing or payment updates, waitlist/launch notices). Each checkbox is unchecked by default. Checking a box is express consent for that message type only. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel texts or HELP for help. Meat Alert does not sell phone numbers to third parties.

Sharing

We share data with processors that help us run the service (for example Stripe for payments, Twilio for SMS, and our hosting/database providers), and when required by law. We do not sell personal information.

Retention & choices

We retain account, consent, and messaging records as needed for the subscription, compliance, and dispute resolution. You may opt out of SMS anytime by replying STOP. For access or deletion requests, email support@meatalert.com.
